Citizen Alliance has called on public service providers to ensure equal access for vulnerable populations and establish complaint mechanisms to address rights violations in the country.
The organization’s Executive Director(ED),Baxton Nkhoma, made the call during a meeting with stakeholders in Salima on Tuesday.
Nkhoma emphasized the challenges faced by vulnerable groups in accessing essential public services like the Malawi Police, judiciary, and hospitals.
He urged these institutions to create user-friendly and supportive mechanisms for vulnerable populations to report their grievances.
On his part,Paralegal Officer for the Salima district,John Wilson Mangalala,praised the meeting, expressing his belief that it will significantly enhance human rights for vulnerable populations in the district.
